Could you please provide info on: 1) solvent for dissolving oleic acid (DMSO or ethanol), 2) BSA inclusion (is it recommended?) , and 4) preparation/storage conditions for the stock solution?

This product is soluble in CHCl3 at 50 mg/mL without BSA. No testing has been conducted on DMSO or ethanol. Some literature indicates solubility in ethanol (>25 mg/mL) and DMSO (100 mg/mL). Storage conditions for the prepared solution have not been tested. Literature suggests that aliquots can be stored at -80°C for 6 months and at -20°C for 1 month. Further research is recommended for optimal use.

Ethanol is commonly used as a solvent for reconstitution of this product for cell culture applications. Although solubility in ethanol is not a tested specification for batch release, this product is known to dissolve in ethanol up to a concentration of 20 mg/mL. Sonication is not necessary for reconstitution in ethanol.
