General description

This lyophilized Spectroquant^® BOD Standard is diluted with distilled water to prepare a standard solution of an appropriate concentration.

This standard solution is then analyzed using the Spectroquant^® BOD Cell Test to check the procedure for the BOD measurement. The quantity of lyophilisate contained in each bottle of BOD Standard is sufficient to prepare 1 l of standard solution with 198 ± 40 mg/l BOD₅ or 206 ± 40 mg/l BOD₇.

These Spectroquant^® standards perfectly complement our ready-to-use test kits and photometers within the Spectroquant^® portfolio and are ideal for validating international norm methods described in e.g., ISO, EN, APHA, and EPA.
