Popis

General description

HumanKine growth factors are expressed in a proprietary human 293 protein expression system and are manufactured without the use of any animal products and are considered Xeno-Free.

IL-29 is a cytokine distantly related to type I interferons and the IL-10 family. IL-28A, IL-28B, and IL-29 are three closely related cytokine genes that form a cytokine gene cluster on a chromosomal region mapped to 19q13. Expression of the cytokines encoded by the three genes can be induced by viral infection. All three cytokines have been shown to interact with a heterodimeric class II cytokine receptor that consists of interleukin 10 receptor, beta (IL10RB) and interleukin 28 receptor, alpha (IL28RA).

Physical form

Product is presented in PBS and filtered through a 0.2 micron filter before lyophilization.

Preparation Note

Store at -20°C for up to 4 months from date of receipt. Further dilutions should be made into appropriate buffer or medium to which protein has been added.

Analysis Note

Bioactivity assay: Determined by the dose dependent protection of the cytopathic effect on A549 cells (human lung
adenocarcinoma epithelial cell line) that were challenged with encephalomyocarditis (EMC) virus. ED50 is typically 0.5-5 ng/ml.
