Application

Biochem/physiol Actions
40S ribosomal protein S12 is a protein encoded by the RPS12 gene in humans and is referred to as S12. It is found to be overexpressed in gastric cancer and it is closely related to metastasis. It plays an important role in regulating the proliferation and migration of gastric cancer cells. This gene can be used as a diagnostic identifier for the screening of human cervical cancer and acts as a potential target employed for cancer gene therapy trials.
