Cefuroxime is a semisynthetic cephalosporin, widely used as an antimicrobial agent, in veterinary medication for the treatment of cattle, goats, etc.

Application

Cefuroxime sodium salt has been used as a standard in the analysis of cefuroxime sodium salt residues in domestic sheep milk using penzym enzymatic test method. Cefuroxime may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantificaton of the analyte in pharmaceutical preparations using high-performance liquid chromatography technique.
