Opis

General description

Leptyna jest adipokiną wydzielaną przez tkankę tłuszczową. Występuje również w pierwotnych i wtórnych narządach limfoidalnych. Leptyna ma strukturę 3D składającą się z czterech motywów wiązki α-helisy. Bierze udział w regulacji funkcji neuroendokrynnych i homeostazy energetycznej. Leptyna uczestniczy również w procesach fizjologicznych, takich jak reprodukcja, angiogeneza i hemopoeza.[1] Zestaw ELISA (Rat Leptin enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) służy do nieradioaktywnego oznaczania ilościowego leptyny w surowicy szczurów. Można również stosować próbki osocza, ale zastosowanie do próbek innych płynów biologicznych może wymagać walidacji przez użytkownika.
