Opis

General description

A Na⁺ channel opener. Increases intracellular Ca²⁺ levels without affecting Na⁺ - Ca²⁺ exchange. Acts at neurotoxin receptor site 2 and preferentially binds to activated Na⁺ channels causing persistent activation. Induces cell death in bovine chromaffin cells.
