General description
EZview™ Red Protein A Affinity Gel is a highly visible, red colored Protein A affinity gel. The affinity resin contains Staphylococcus aureus Protein A covalently attached to crosslinked 4% agarose beads. The affinity gel is used to bind the FC portion of the IgG of an antibody to samples, such as cell lysates and tissue. The immune complexes, bound to the EZview™ Red Protein A Affinity Gel, are recovered by centrifugation. Red dye enhances visibility for more efficient results.
Application
When performing small-scale affinity capture, such as immunoprecipitation, the affinity matrix is difficult to see in the microcentrifuge tubes. Accidental aspiration of the resin leads to quantitative variability in results. The EZview™ Red Affinity Gels greatly reduce the risk of pellet loss. EZview resins perform as well as conventional non-colored affinity gels, but allow the user to easily differentiate pellet from supernatant. This correlates to more accurate data because less protein is lost.
EZview™ Red Protein A Affinity Gel has been used for purification of proteins in the preparation of immunoprecipitation and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays.
Features and Benefits
- Increased visibility - Red color reduces risk of incidental aspiration
- Improved recovery of target protein by reduced accidental loss
- Higher reproducibility - More consistent yields

Pseudomonas aeruginosa efficiently intoxicates eukaryotic cells through the activity of the type III secretion-translocation system (TTSS). Gene deletions within the translocation operon pcrGVH-popBD abolish pore-forming activity of P. aeruginosa strains with macrophages and TTSS-dependent hemolysis. Here we investigated the requirements
