Biochem/physiol Actions

GRIA2 or glutamate receptor 2 (GluR2) inhibits the influx of calcium through AMPA-receptor complexes. Mutations in GRIA2 gene have been associated with major psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.[1][2]
