General description

BioTracker^™ Mitochondrial Lipid Peroxide Live Cell Ferroptosis Indicator is a cell-membrane-permeable, perylene-based dye. It specifically localizes to mitochondria via introduction of the triphenylphosphonium moiety. SCT261 is used to monitor lipid peroxidation in ferroptosis research.With excitation and emission wavelengths of 452 nm and 470 nm respectively, this probe can be applied for lipophilic peroxide imaging in living cells.

This product is a cell-membrane-permeable, perylene-based probe for use in live cell cultures. The compound specifically localizes in mitochondria due to the triphenylphosphonium moiety. It is therefore optimal for monitoring lipid peroxidation in ferroptosis.IMPORTANT APPLICATION NOTES: Prepare 0.1 mM stock solution by dissolving the 5ug of SCT261 in 50 uL DMSO. Lyophilized probe may be difficult to see, confirm with yellow color of working solution. Protect solution from light and use within the same day.
