Opis

General description

This perylene derivative containing oligooxyethylene is designed for the detection of lipid peroxides. SCT260 emits intense fluorescence by lipid peroxide-specific oxidation in organic solvents such as ethanol. Among fluorescent probes that detect Reactive Oxygen Species(ROS), SCT260 is the only compound that can specifically detect lipid peroxides. Because the excitation and emission wavelengths of the oxidized probe are 524 nm and 535 nm, respectively, phototoxicity to and autofluorescence from the sample can be minimized. The tetraethyleneglycol group linked to one end of diisoquinoline ring enhances solubility and dispersibility in aqueous buffer.

BioTracker^™ Green Lipid Peroxide Live Cell Ferroptosis Indicator emits intense fluorescence by lipid peroxide specific oxidation in organic solvents such as ethanol. This is the only RUO probe that can specifically detect lipid peroxides.SCT260′s oxidized form is nearly nonfluorescent in an aqueous media, but produces a bright fluorescence in lipophilic sites such as in cell membranes.This probe is light-sensitive, and should be pipetted as quickly as possible, preferably within one minute. Protect working solutions and samples from light, and use within one day of preparing working solution.
