General description

The EndoGRO^® basal medium (Cat# SCME-BM) can be combined withfour different supplements to create four distinct media kits:

• To form EndoGRO^®-LS Complete Media Kit use SCME001-S
• To form EndoGRO^®-VEGFComplete Media Kit use SCME002-S
• To form EndoGRO^®MV-VEGF Complete Media Kit use SCME003-S
• To form EndoGRO^®-MV Complete Media Kit use SCME004-S

Application

EndoGRO^® Media Formulations provide an optimal cell cultureenvironment for many types of endothelial cells, including HUVEC, aorticendothelial cells and other human large vessel and microvascular endothelialcells. These media have been shown to grow endothelial cells at rates that meetor exceed commercially available serum containing media, while maintainingexcellent cell morphology. The media are packaged in a specially designed UVprotective shrinkwrap for added stability, which includes a temperature gaugethat helps prevent contamination. EndoGRO^® Media contain no antimicrobials andno phenol red, components that can cause cell stress and masking effects thatmay influence experimental results. Four different media formulations areavailable for various applications and cell culture requirements.

Preparation Note

Basal Medium (SCME-BM) should be stored at 2 - 8ºC. Thespecial UV protective packaging protects EndoGRO^® Medium from light damage,however users should take care to protect medium from extended exposure tolight. Supplement Kits (SCME001-S, SCME002-S, SCME003-S, SCME004-S) should bestored at -20ºC. See individual labels for expiry date. Supplemented medium shouldbe stored at 2 - 8ºC in the dark. Use within 1 month of supplementation. Do notfreeze.
