Opis

General description

Native NADH oxidase from Bacillus Iicheniformis. Catalyzes the oxidation of NADPH to NAD and H₂O₂ with the consumption of stoichiometric amounts of oxygen.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C) for long-term storage or store at room temperature (20°C) for short-term storage. Stock solutions are stable for up to 1 week at 20°C or for up to 6 months at -20°C.

Reconstitute to 5 units/ml in 30 mM potassium phosphate buffer, pH 7.4. Dilute in 30 mM potassium phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, with 0.1% BSA just prior to use.

Other Notes

May contain trace amounts of catalase which can be eliminated by the addition of 10 mM NaN₃ to the reaction mixture.

One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will oxidize 1 µmol of NADH per min at 30°C, pH 7.0.
