Generally speaking, calculate the product's concentration in mg/ml as follows:
For a Phosphatidylserine (PS)-based Brain PS: Cholesterol liposome formulation at a 70:30 molar ratio:
Calculate the total moles of Brain PS and Cholesterol in the product.
Convert the moles to grams using their respective molecular weights.
Convert grams to milligrams.
Using DOPC as a reference for estimation may not be appropriate due to differences in molecular weight and properties.
The calculations are as follows:
Brain PS = 5 mM
Cholesterol = 2.14 mM
For Brain PS: 5 mmol/1000ml x 825 mg/mmol = 4.13 mg/ml
For Cholesterol: 2.14 mmol/1000ml x 387 mg/mmol = 0.83 mg/ml
Total lipid concentration in the product = 4.96 mg/ml
