General description
Il retinolo o alcol della vitamina A è la forma principale della vitamina A in circolo. Non è biologicamente attivo. Il retinolo o il retinolo completamentetransè una molecola a 20 atomi di carbonio con un anello cicloesenilico, una catena laterale con quattro doppi legami (in configurazione trans ) e un gruppo alcolico terminale.
Application
Il retinolo è stato impiegato:
- per la sintesi dell′acido retinoico completamente transin cellule HepG2
- per studiare l′effetto del retinolo sulla crescita di normali colonie di celle coltivate come organoidi
- come standard per la determinazione di vitamina A nelle cellule
- come un componente di un terreno chimicamente definito per la coltura di organi testicolari e spermatogenesi in vitro.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Il retinolo e i suoi derivati mostrano proprietà anti invecchiamento. Inoltre agisce anche da agente anti rughe. Tuttavia non è usato molto nella formulazione di cosmetici a causa della instabilità alla luce e della tendenza a irritare la pelle. Il retinolo è impiegato nella cura di dermatosi compreso l′invecchiamento della pelle causato dalla luce. La mancanza di retinolo è associata allo sviluppo di xerosi e ipercheratosi follicolare.
Il retinolo agisce come un precursore di retinoidi attivi. Viene convertito a retinaldeide e successivamente ad acido retinoico. Gli acidi retinoici tutto-trans e 9-cissono i ligandi per i ricettori del nucleo, per i ricettori di acido retinoico (RAR) e per i ricettori di retinoidi X (RXR). Questi recettori sono regolatori di trascrizione di vari geni.

The overfill tolerance for this product varies depending on the pack size. For 25 mg, the overfill tolerance is +1.0 mg. For 100 mg, the overfill tolerance is +5 mg. For 250 mg, the overfill tolerance is +10 mg. For 500 mg, the overfill tolerance is +25 mg. For 1 g, the overfill tolerance is +0.05 g.

If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.
