Application

Fingolimod Hydrochloride USP reference standard may be used to quantify the analyte in gel, capsule and other pharmaceutical formulations, active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and pharmaceutical dosage forms by liquid chromatography (LC) based techniques.

Biochem/physiol Actions

FTY720 ist ein immunmodulierendes Arzneimittel und Regulator des Sphingosin-1-phosphat (S1P)-Rezeptors. Die Phosphorylierung von FTY270 mittels Sphingosin-Kinase verursacht eine S1P1R-Internalisierung, die wiederum Lymphozyten in den Lymphknoten sequestriert und so daran hindert, an einer Autoimmunreaktion teilzunehmen. Es ist klinisch für die Behandlung von multipler Sklerose (MS) zugelassen. Außerdem blockiert und reversiert es nachweislich die von einer Paclitaxel-Chemotherapie induzierte peripherale Neuropathie (CIPN) mittels S1PR-Inhibition und hemmt die Aktivität von Histon-Deacetylasen im Hippocampus von Mausgehirnen, was die Gedächtnisleistung moduliert.

FTY720 ist ein immunmodulierendes Arzneimittel und wirkt als Regulator des Sphingosin-1-phosphat (S1P)-Rezeptors.
