Application

Imipramine hydrochloride USP reference standard, intended for use in specified quality tests and assays as specified in the USP compendia. Also, for use with USP monographs such as:
  • Imipramine Hydrochloride Tablets
  • Imipramine Hydrochloride Injection
  • Desipramine Hydrochloride
  • Clomipramine Hydrochloride
  • Desipramine Hydrochloride Tablets
  • Trimipramine Maleate

Biochem/physiol Actions

Tricyclisches Antidepressivum; hemmt die Serotonin- und Noradrenalin-Transporter mit Kis von 7.7 nM bzw. 67 nM. Hat wenig Einfluss auf Dopamin-Transporter (Ki = 25 μM).
