Biochem/physiol Actions

CCR8 is a mammalian ligand for the chemokine CCL1 and plays an important role in recruitment of T cells and eosinophils in asthma and atopic dermatitis. The role of CCR8 in disease progression has been demonstrated in type I diabetes and autoimmune encephalomyelitis.[1]
