Application
Natriumorthovanadat wird verwendet zur Zubereitung der Stopp-Lösung für den Dephosphorylisierungsassay der Insulinrezeptorkinase.26 Es ist eines der Reagenzien, das in der Entwicklung von Matrix ChIP zum Einsatz kam, welche oberflächenimmobilisierte Antikörper nutzt.27
Biochem/physiol Actions
Hemmt ATPase, alkalische Phosphatase und Tyrosinphosphatase. Decavanadat, das bei saurem pH gebildet wird, hemmt die durch Inositol-1,4,5-Trisphosphat (IP3) induzierte Ca2+-Freisetzung aus endokrinen Zellen und blockiert die Bindung von IP3 an seinen Rezeptor im Hirngewebe.
Natriumorthovanadat unterdrückt die Aktivierung der p53-vermittelten und als Reaktion auf Bestrahlung ausgelösten Apoptose. Es mindert die schädlichen Auswirkungen des hämatopoetischen Syndroms, der Hämatopoese und verzögerter genotoxischer Wirkungen, die durch die Ganzkörperbestrahlung von Mäusen ausgelöst werden.24 In Kombination mit Menadion verhindert Natriumorthovanadat die Migration abgelöster humaner Gliomzellen als Reaktion auf krebsbekämpfende Arzneimittel.25
