Application

SigmaMarker sind für den Einsatz mit Laemmli SDS-PAGE, PhastSystem (Pharmacia) und Schägger und von Jagow SDS-PAGE (Tricin) ausgelegt. SigmaMarker decken den Molekulargewichtsbereich der meisten Proteine sowie deren Untereinheiten ab. Die Marker sind mit Probenpuffer lyophilisiert, so dass sie nach der Rekonstitution mit deionisiertem Wasser sofort verwendet werden können. Die Marker sind so formuliert, dass eine Verteilung von gut definierten Banden von ungefähr gleicher Intensität nach der Elektrophorese und Coomassie-Blau-Färbung erzielt wird.

Preparation Note

Reconstitution with 100 μl of deionized water results in a solution containing 2-3.5 mg of protein per ml of 62 mM Tris-HCl, pH 6.8, 1 mM EDTA, 4% sucrose, 10 mM TCEP, 2% SDS, and 0.01% bromophenol blue.
