How is the Insulin conjugated?
1 answer-
Regarding the location of the FITC label and any effects on activity, there is no specific description available on where the FITC label is positioned on FITC-insulin. However, in practice, there are only three potential sites where the FITC can derivatize the insulin. These locations include both of the N-terminal residues, off the free amine, and the Lysine at the 3rd position near the C-terminus of the B-chain.
