General description
αα1-Acid-Glycoprotein (AGP)/Orosomucoid (ORM), ein Glycoprotein, hat ein Molekulargewicht von 41–43 kDa. Es gilt als eines der wichtigen Akutphase-Proteine bei Menschen und Ratten. AGP gehört möglicherweise zur Lipocalin-Familie.
Application
αα1-Acid-Glycoprotein aus Humanplasma wurde für folgende Anwendungen eingesetzt:
- als negativ geladenes Protein zur Untersuchung von Adsorptionsprozessen auf der Oberfläche von Polyelektrolyt-Multilayern
- zur Inkubation von mit gereinigtem Antiserum beschichteten Platten in einer Studie zur Untersuchung seiner Serumkonzentration durch ELISA
- zur Untersuchung der Wirkung von verschiedenen Konzentrationen auf die antivirale Aktivität von Inhibitoren der HIV--Protease (human immunodeficiency virus).
Biochem/physiol Actions
αα1-Acid-Glycoprotein besitzt immunmodulatorische Eigenschaften. Es kann an saure Medikamente wie Phenobarbital binden.
