Beschreibung

General description

SPC ist das deacylierte Derivat von Sphingomyelin, das sich bekanntermaßen bei neuropathischer Niemann-Pick-Krankheit Typ A ansammelt. Es ist ein potentes Mitogen, dass das intrazelluläre freie Ca²⁺ und freies Arachidonat über Wege erhöht, die nur teilweise von PKC abhängen. Stimuliert die DNA-Bindungsaktivität des Transkriptionsaktivatorproteins AP-1. Induziert rasch die Tyrosinphosphorylierung der fokalen Adhäsionskinase (p125^FAK) und von Paxillin und bewirkt eine rasche und vorübergehende Aktivierung der MAP-Kinase in Swiss/3T3-Zellen. Außerdem bewirkt es eine einzigartige Reorganisation des Aktin-Zytoskeletts.

Preparation Note
