Beschreibung

General description

Ein natürlich vorkommendes Nebenprodukt der Polyamin-Biosynthese, das als endogenes Substrat für Methylthioadenosin-Phosphorylase (MTAP) fungiert. Ein zellpermeabler, reversibler und mit ATP konkurrierender Inhibitor des Carboxymethyltransferase-Proteins, der zudem Apoptose in Leukämie-U937-Zellen induziert. Fungiert zudem als Inhibitor der NGF-induzierten Tyrosin-Phosphorylierung in PC12-Zellen und blockiert die FGF-2-Rezeptor-Tyrosinkinase in Astrozyten und Gliomzellen.

Hemmt das Carboxymethyltransferase-Protein stark und induziert Apoptose in Leukämie-U937-Zellen. Hemmt zudem die FGF-2-Rezeptor-Tyrosinkinase-Aktivität sowie die Vermehrung menschlicher Astrozyten und Gliomzellen.
