Biochem/physiol Actions

Virostatikum, das gegen eine Vielzahl von humanen Virusinfektionen verwendet wird, insbesondere chronischer Hepatitis C, HIV und Adenovirus. Sein Metabolit Ribavirin-5′-phosphat inhibiert Inosinmonophosphat (IMP)-Dehydrogenase, aber auch viele andere Wirkmechanismen sind durch experimentelle Beweise gestützt.

Virostatikum, das gegen eine Vielzahl von humanen Virusinfektionen verwendet wird, insbesondere chronischer Hepatitis C, HIV und Adenovirus. Sein Metabolit Ribavirin-5′-phosphat inhibiert Inosinmonophosphat (IMP)-Dehydrogenase.
