Latrunculin B ist ein makrozyklisches Toxin, das von Latruncula magnifica produziert wird.

Application

Latrunculin B aus Latruncula magnifica wurde in verschiedenen Experimenten zur Depolymerisation von Aktin eingesetzt. Es wurde auch als Komponente in aus Knochenmark gewonnenen dendritischen Zellen (BMDC)-Komplettmedium zur Untersuchung der Bildung von Tubuli aus Phagosomen in dendritischen Zellen verwendet.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Latrunculin B hemmt die Aktin-Polymerisation in vitro. Latrunculin B stört Mikrofilament-vermittelte Prozesse.
