General description
Der IgG-Antikörper-Untertyp ist das am reichlichsten vorhandene Serumimmunglobulin des Immunsystems. Er wird von B-Zellen abgesondert, kommt in Blut und extrazellulären Flüssigkeiten vor und bietet Schutz vor Infektionen durch Bakterien, Pilze und Viren. Maternales IgG wird durch die Plazenta an den Fötus übertragen und ist für die Immunabwehr von Neugeborenen gegen Infektionen lebensnotwendig.[1]
Menschliches Myelom-IgG2, κ wird durch Fraktionierung, Ionenaustausch und Affinitätschromatografie aus menschlichem Plasma aufgereinigt.

Application
Aufgereinigtes IgG2, κ kann als Immunglobulin-Kalibrator, Referenz-Antigen, Blockierungsmittel oder Beschichtungsprotein in verschiedenen Immunassays, einschließlich ELISA, Dot-Blot-Immunbindung, Western-Immunblotting, Immundiffusion, Immunelektrophorese, Hämagglutination und Zellbindungsassays verwendet werden. Humanes Myelom-IgG2, κa wurde eingesetzt, um die Trisulfidmodifikationen bei humanen und murinen Antikörpern zu charakterisieren[2] sowie in der Durchflusszytometrie.[3]
