General description

Das Gen IL-11 (Interleukin 11) ist auf dem humanen Chromosom 19q13.4 lokalisiert.[1] Es ist ein abgesondertes Protein.[2][3]

Interleukin-11 (IL-11) wird von vielen Zellen mesenchymalen Ursprungs wie Keratinozyten, Synoviozyten, Fibroblasten, Stromazellen aus dem Knochenmark, Osteoblasten und Chondrozyten synthetisiert.[4]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Interleukin 11 (IL-11) ist an der Förderung der Gewebefibrose beteiligt und reguliert die Funktion von Chondrozyten, Synoviozyten und B-Zellen. Es ist auch am Knochenstoffwechsel und am Gewebeumbau beteiligt.[5]

Interleukin-11, ein auch als Adipogenesis Inhibitory Factor (AGIF) bezeichneter Stoff, ist ein pleiotropes Zytokin, das auf hämatopoetische Progenitorzellen und Stromazellen wirkt. Obwohl rekombinantes humanes IL-11 über eine angenommene Molekülmasse von 19 kDa verfügt, migriert es als 23-kDa-Bande in SDS-PAGE. Es ist ein funktionelles Homolog von IL-6, das die Proliferation von bestimmten Plasmazytom-Zelllinien und eine Akutphasen-Proteinsekretion in der Leber induziert. IL-11 stimuliert die Produktion von Erythrozyten und Megakaryozyten sowie die T-Zellenentwicklung von B-Zellen produzierenden Antikörpern.

Lyophilisiert aus 0,2 μm gefilterter Lösung von PBS und EDTA mit BSA als Trägerprotein.

Analysis Note

Die biologische Aktivität wird in einem Zellproliferationsassay unter Verwendung von T11 gemessen, einer Sublinie der IL-6-abhängigen Plasmazytom-Zelllinie T1165.85.2.1 in Mäusen, die zum Wachstum in IL-11 angepasst wurde.
