Acamprosate calcium is a GABA γ-aminobutyric acid agonist.
Acamprosate calcium is a synthetic analog of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and a GABAB receptor agonist.[1] Acamprosate calcium has been used in alcohol dependence treatments[2] and may be an effective augmentation therapy anxiety patients.[3]
