General description
Chromeo P503 markiert Proteine und Peptide durch einen Farbwechsel von blau nach rot bei der Bindung an primäre Amine. Chromeo P503 zeigt in Lösung eine schwache Fluoreszenz mit einer Quantenausbeute von <1%. Nach Konjugation an eine primäre Amin-Gruppe erfährt das Label ein kurzwellige Spektralverschiebung von >100 nm und die Quantenausbeute steigt auf 50%. Diese Eigenschaft ermöglicht einen eindeutigen Nachweis von primären Aminen, Proteinen und anderen Biomolekülen.
Application
Chromeo P503 wird als fluorogenes Reagenz zur Markierung von primären Aminogruppen in Molekülen wie z. B. Proteinen verwendet. Mit Chromeo P503 markierte Proteine können in einer Vielzahl von Gelelektrophorese- und Chromatographie-Anwendungen untersucht werden.
