General description
Müller-Hinton-Bouillon wird zum Bestimmen der minimalen Hemm-Konzentrationen (MHK) eingesetzt. Müller-Hinton-Medium wird von der FDA, Weltgesundheitsorganisation und NCCLS zum Prüfen der am häufigsten vorkommenden aeroben und fakultativ anaeroben Bakterien in Lebensmitteln und klinischem Material empfohlen. Dieses Medium zeigt eine gute Reproduzierbarkeit von Charge zu Charge, weist nur geringe Mengen Sulfonamid-, Trimethroprim- und Tetracyclininhibitoren auf und erzeugt ein zufriedenstellendes Wachstum der meisten nicht anspruchsvollen Pathogene.
Application
Müller-Hinton-Bouillon wird primär dafür verwendet, die minimale Hemm-Konzentration (MHK) für verschiedene antimikrobielle Mittel zu bestimmen. Sie kann auch verwendet werden, um anspruchsvolle Organismen wie Meningococcus und Gonococcus zu kultivieren.
Preparation Note
21 g in 1 Liter destilliertem Wasser auflösen. Zum Sterilisieren 15 Minuten lang bei 121 °C autoklavieren.
