General description

Pyrase Strips are for enzymatic test for the detection of pyrrolidonyl peptidase (pyrase). Pyrase is an enzyme produced by all common species of Enterococci and by 98% of Streptococcus pyogenes strains. Detection of pyrase is a sensitive, reliable and rapid method of wide application. It is substantially more efficient than the bacitracine disc tests (Cat. No. 08382) used for the differentiation of S. pyogenes strains and the tests used for grouping of Enterococci. Strip can also be used for the identification of Gram-positive genera, catalase negative cocci, and coccobacilli.
The result of the reaction is read after 2 min.

Diagnostischer Test für die rasche Differenzierung von Enterococci und Gruppe D Streptococci und für die Differenzierung von Streptococcus pyogenes und anderen haemolytischen Streptococci.
Es handelt sich um einen enzymantischen Test für die Detektion von Pyrrolidonyl-Peptidase (Pyrase). Pyrase ist ein Enzym, welches von allen gewöhnlichen Arten von Enterococci und von 98% aller S. pyogenes Stämme produziert wird. Die Detektion von Pyrase ist eine empfindliche, verlässliche und schnelle Methode mit breitem Anwendungsgebiet. Sie ist wesentlich effizienter als der Bacitracinplättchentests (Fluka^® 08382), der für die Differenzierung von S. pyogenes Stämmen verwendet wird, und als die gebräuchlichen Tests für die Gruppenzuteilung von Enterococci. Der Teststreifen kann ebenfalls für die Identifikation von grampositiven Gattungen, katalasenegativen Kokken und Kokkobacilli benutzt werden.
Das Analyseresultat kann nach 2 Minuten abgelesen werden.
