General description

Fenoxaprop-ethyl is a postemergence herbicide used for the control of annual and perennial weeds in crops. Its mode of action involves inhibiting the fatty acid biosynthesis in plant meristems, which in turn affects the activity of acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase.[1]

Application

Fenoxaprop-ethyl may be used as a reference standard for the determination of fenoxaprop-ethyl by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with photometric detection and mass spectrometry.
