General description

LB-Bouillon Vegiton enthält keine tierischen Edukte. Es wird für die Kultivierung und Züchtung von rekombinanten Stämmen von Escherichia coli und zur Routinekultivierung von nicht speziell anspruchsvollen Mikroorganismen verwendet.

Preparation Note

  • Store prepared media below 8°C, protected from direct light.
  • Store dehydrated powder, in a dry place, in tightly sealed containers at 2-25°C.
Suspend 20 g in 1000 ml distilled water. Heat to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Dispense as desired.

Other Notes

We offer two media types: the superior granulated GranuCult® and the cost-efficient powdered NutriSelect® culture media, depending on your needs.
The designations basic, plus, or prime are added to indicate the quality control level, from basic quality control to standard QC plus to prime for full regulatory compliance.

    1. The formulations for LB Broth and Letheen Broth are quite different. LB Broth is typically used for the propagation of E. coli bacteria for molecular biology applications. Letheen Broth is typically used to demonstrate the efficacy of preservatives. Please see the formulations of each item below:
