Application

Isopropylacetat kann wie folgt verwendet werden:

• Als Acyldonor bei der stereoselektiven Biotransformation von chiralen Aminen.
• Als Alkylierungsmittel für die Isopropylierung von Phenolen aufgrund seiner einfachen Chemisorption auf die Brønsted-Säuren-Stellen zur Bildung von Alkylkationen und der Freisetzung von Essigsäure in der Reaktion, die die geladene Struktur von Phenol stabilisieren kann.
