Beschreibung

General description

Rekombinantes, bovines Aprotinin wird ohne tierische Bestandteile geliefert. Aprotinin ist ein kompetitiver, reversibler Inhibitor der proteolytischen und esterolytischen Aktivität. Ein relativ hitze- und säurestabiler Serinprotease-Inhibitor. Bildet einen engen Komplex und blockiert das aktive Zentrum des Enzyms. Wirksam bei Konzentrationen, die äquimolar mit Protease sind. Hemmt mehrere Proteasen, einschließlich Gerinnungsfaktoren in der Vorphase der Blutgerinnung, Gewebe- und leukozytäre Proteinasen, Chymotrypsin, Trypsin (K_d = 5 x 10^-14 M), Plasmin (K_d = 2,3 x 10^-10 M) und Kallikrein (K_d = 1 x 10^-7 M). Zu den Proteasen, die von Aprotinin nicht gehemmt werden, gehören Faktor Xa, Thrombin, Pepsin, Papain und die Carboxypeptidasen A und B. Nützlich für die Proteinreinigung und zur Verlängerung der Lebensdauer von Zellen in Kulturen durch Verhinderung proteolytischer Schäden.
