General description

A selective 5-HT_2A serotonin receptor antagonist with weak adrenergic receptor blocking properties. Strong affinity for 5-HT_2AR (K_i = 1.49 nM) relative to other family members like 5-HT_2BR (K_i = 740 nM) and 5-HT_2CR (K_i = 59 nM). Often used in conjunction with SB 206553 to distinguish 5-HT_2AR and 5-HT_2CR activity.
