General description
Komplementserum wird aus gepooltem Humanplasma hergestellt und aus der auf dem Etikett angegebenen Serummenge lyophilisiert.
Application
Die Aktivität von Komplementsera kann durch in-vitro-Hämolyse-Assays bestimmt werden. [1]
Humane Komplementseren wurden wie folgt verwendet:
- zum Inkubieren von DLD-1- oder SW-620-Zellen zum Quantifizieren der C5a-Freisetzung
- im Multiplex-Bead-Antikörper-Bindungsassay zum Untersuchen von C3d
- im komplementabhängigen Zytotoxizitätsassay

Analysis Note
Der Hämolyse-Titer (CH50-Einheiten pro mL) wird nach der Methode von Kabat und Mayer bestimmt. Der vorliegende Titer ist auf dem Etikett angegeben.
