Application

Naphthol Blue Black has been used for the staining of western blot membrane for detection of all protein that are transferred to the membrane.[1]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Naphtholblauschwarz kann zum Färben von Proteinen auf Polyacrylamidgelen, Agarosegelen und Nitrocellulosemembranen verwendet werden. Das Fixieren der Proteine im Gel nach der Elektrophorese wird empfohlen. Das Gel kann dann mit 0,1% Naphthol Blue Black in 7% (Vol%) Essigsäure für mindestens 2 Std. gefärbt und mit 7% (Vol%) Essigsäurelösung entfärbt werden. Die Nachweisempfindlichkeit liegt bei ca. 20% der von Coomassie Blue R.
