General description

Adenosintriphosphat (ATP) ist ein Nukleosidtriphosphat, das ausschließlich im Mitochondrium gebildet wird. Es ist ein hochenergetisches Molekül, das als Energiewährung in allen lebenden Systemen beschrieben wird. Die in der Phosphatbindung von ATP enthaltene chemische Energie treibt die meisten Zellprozesse an.[1][2] Genetische Erkrankungen wie Lebersche Optikusatrophie,[2] Leigh-Syndrom, Neuropathie, Ataxie und Retinopathia pigmentosa [3] beeinträchtigen die Bildung von ATP im Mitochrondrium.

Application

Das ATP-Assay-Kit wird eingesetzt, um die ATP-Konzentration mittels fluorometrischem Nachweis von ATP in Proben zu quantifizieren.
Geeignet für die Bestimmung von ATP in Proben wie Tiergewebe- und Zellkulturproben.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Das kalorimetrische/fluorometrische ATP-Assay-Kit ist ein empfindlicher Assay zur Bestimmung von ATP in verschiedenen Proben (im Bereich von 2 bis 10 nmol/Well für den kalorimetrischen Assay und von 20 bis 1.000 pmol/Well für den fluorometrischen Assay). Die ATP-Konzentration wird mit phosphorylierendem Glycerin bestimmt, was zu einem kalorimetrischen (570 nm) oder fluorometrischen (lex = 535/lem = 587 nm) Produkt führt, das proportional zu der vorhandenen Menge an ATP ist.

Other Notes

Der fluorometrische Assay ist 10- bis 100-fach empfindlicher als der kalorimetrische Assay.

  1. How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

    1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

  2. How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.   4. Dear sir, We are interested in quantification of ATP levels "ATP Assay Kit" Cat.No:MAK190. Protocol recommends that cells should be deproteinized using 10kDa MWCO spin filter, but no protocol is mentioned. Can you Please send us protocol for the same.
