Application
Diese antibiotische Lösung wird zur Verringerung oder Beseitigung von Bakterienkontaminationen in Primärzellkulturen verwendet. Sie sollte in einer Konzentration von 10 mL/L verwendet werden.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Wirkungsweise: Das Produkt wirkt auf drei Arten: Aufgrund seines Aminosäure-/Kohlenstoffgerüsts ist Glutamin eine wichtige Energiequelle für die meisten Säugerzellkulturen. Penicillin hemmt die bakterielle Zellwandsynthese. Streptomycin hemmt die Prokaryoten-Proteinsynthese, indem es den Übergang vom Initiationskomplex zum kettenverlängernden Ribosom hemmt und dadurch eine Fehlcodierung verursacht.
Antimikrobielles Spektrum: Dieses Produkt wirkt gegen gramnegative und grampositive Bakterien.

Diese Lösung wurde so formuliert, dass sie 200 mM L-Glutamin, 10.000 Einheiten Penicillin und 10 mg/mL Streptomycin enthält, die in einem proprietären Puffer gelöst sind.
