Myocyte Growth Medium SupplementMix (basal medium sold separately)

To form a complete medium, it should be combined with the basal medium: C-22270

Application

Myocyte Growth Medium is a low serum (5% V/V) medium supplemented with well chosen hormones and growth factors. It was developed for the optimal expansion and maintenance of primary cardiac myocytes in culture. The medium is optimized for primary human cells but can also be used for primary porcine cardiac myocytes.Recommended for:Human Cardiac Myocytes (HCM)

Final supplement concentrations after addition to the basal medium:Fetal Calf Serum: 0.05 ml / mlEpidermal Growth Factor (recombinant human): 0.5 ng / mlBasic Fibroblast Growth Factor (recombinant human): 2 ng / ml Insulin (recombinant human): 5 µg / ml

Store the SupplementMix at -20°C in the dark immediately after arrival. If stored properly, it is stable until the expiry date stated on the label. After adding the supplements to the Basal Medium, the shelf life of the complete medium is 6 weeks at 4 to 8°C. Do not freeze the complete medium. For use, pre-warm only an aliquot of the complete medium and keep the remaining medium refrigerated at 4 to 8°C.

Analysis Note

All lots of PromoCell Myocyte Growth Medium are subjected to comprehensive quality control tests using primary human cardiac myocytes. Each lot is checked for growth promoting activity, adherence rate, and typical morphology of the tested myocytes. Approved in-house lots of media are used as a reference. In addition, all lots of media have been tested for the absence of microbial contaminants (fungi, bacteria, mycoplasma).
