General description

Alternariol (AOH) is a mycotoxin produced by fungus Alternaria and a major plant pathogen found in a wide variety of fruits and cereals products. AOH is structurally characterized as a dibenzopyranone.[1]

Application

Alternariol may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in fruits, vegetables and cereals by various chromatography techniques.[2]
