General description

Die Zelladhäsion spielt eine wesentliche Rolle bei der Zellkommunikation und -regulation und ist von grundlegender Bedeutung für die Entwicklung und Erhaltung von Gewebe. Wissenschaftler untersuchen die Adhäsion und Migration vieler verschiedener Zelltypen an verschiedenen Proteinbestandteilen der extrazellulären Matrix (EZM) fortlaufend. Millicoat-Zelladhäsionsstreifen werden als 12 x entfernbare 8-Well-Streifen in einem Plattenrahmen geliefert, um die praktische und flexible Gestaltung von Assays zu ermöglichen. Die Wells in den Reihen A-G sind mit humanem Typ-I-Kollagen beschichtet. Reihe H jedes Streifens ist mit BSA beschichtet, das als Negativkontrolle des Assays dient. Die Zellen werden auf das beschichtete Substrat aufgebracht. Anschließend werden adhärente Zellen fixiert und gefärbt. Die relative Anhaftung wird durch Absorptionsmessungen bestimmt.
