Application

Immunohistochemistry: 1:500-1:750 on 4% paraformaldehyde fixed tissue.

It is recommended that the antibody is diluted in PBS containing 10% normal goat serum and 0.5% Triton X-100. AB1572 has been used for light microscopic studies of the rat nervous system.

Western blot: It has been reported that this antibody works for Western blot (Conti, 1999).

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

This Anti-GABA Transporter-2 Antibody is validated for use in IH, WB for the detection of GABA Transporter-2.

Biochem/physiol Actions

GABA Transporter-2 (GAT-2), C-terminus. No cross-reactivity to the C-termini of other transmitter transporters detected.

Physical form

Affinity purified antibody. Purified in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide.

Preparation Note

Maintain lyophilized material at 2-8°C for up to 12 months. Maintain reconstituted material at -20°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
