Beschreibung

General description

Ein zellpermeabler, potenter und selektiver MDM2-Antagonist (IC₅₀ = 90 nM für Nutlin-3a und 13,6 µ;M für Nutlin-3b), der antitumorale Eigenschaften aufweist. Aktiviert den p53-Signalweg durch Bindung von MDM2 in der p53-Bindungstasche und Hemmung der MDM2-p53-Interaktion. Es hat sich gezeigt, dass es bei mehreren Krebszelllinien mit Wildtyp-p53 und bei xenotransplantierten Tumormäusen eine Apoptose auslöst.
