General description

Ein zellpermeabler und potenter Inhibitor von GSK-3β; (IC₅₀ = 30 nM). Bindet mit hoher Affinität an GSK-3β; (K_d = 126 nM), was eine Erhöhung der Konzentration von β;-Catenin, einem nachgeschalteten Substrat von GSK-3β; im Wnt-Signalweg zur Folge hat. Induziert selektiv die neuronale Differenzierung sowohl in pluripotenten murinen embryonalen Krebszellen (P19; 30-40 % bei 1 µ;M) als auch in embryonalen Stammzellen (D3; 50-60 % bei 400 nM).
