General description

Antimykotikum. Ein Polyen-Antibiotikum, das den Verlust von Substanzen mit geringer Molekülmasse aus Zellen nichtspezifisch eingeleitet. Verursacht die Unterdrückung von Knochenmarkvorläuferzellen. Bildet wahrscheinlich Kanäle, indem es mit Membrancholesterin komplexiert. In Konzentrationen von 1–10 µg/ml wirksam gegen Pilze und Hefen.

Preparation Note

Nach der Rekonstitution in Aliquote aufteilen und einfrieren (-20 °C). Stammlösungen sind bei -20 °C bis zu 1 Monat haltbar. Lösungen in Gewebekulturmedien sind bei 37 °C 3 Tage haltbar.
