Bifonazol ein Imidazol-basiertes Antipilzmittel mit einem breiten Wirkspektrum gegen viele Pilze, Schimmel, Hefen und einige Gram-positive Bakterien. Bifonazol hemmt Ergosterol Biosynthetic Protein 28 und Cytochrom P450 2B4.

Bifonazole is used to treat several infections such as onychomycoses, otomycoses, erythrasma, psoriasis, sebopsoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis and rosacea.[1] Bifonazole is also used as an important drug to treat melanoma.
