Description

Application

Chlorpromazine hydrochloride has been used:

• as an antagonists for calmodulin kinase[1]
• as a medium supplement to test its cytotoxic effects in human lung microvascular endothelial cells (HMVEC-L)
• as an inhibitor of clathrin-mediated endocytosis in RAW 264.7 cells

Substitute for benzidine, o-dianisidine, and o-tolidine in the determination of microquantities of hemoglobin and peroxidase.

Biochem/physiol Actions

La chlorpromazine manifeste une activité cytotoxique et antiproliférative contre les cellules leucémiques mais elle ne modifie pas la viabilité des lymphocytes normaux.

Phénothiazine antipsychotique ; antagoniste du récepteur D₂ de la dopamine, antagoniste du récepteur H₁ de l′histamine ; inhibe la stimulation calmoduline-dépendante de la nucléotide cyclique phosphodiestérase et de l′oxyde nitrique synthase.
